When answering please add the "--~~~~" (this signature editor toolbar button does this) so you are properly attributed for providing help!

It's perfectly fine to simply leave a question for someone else to answer. Please make sure your question is clearly stated.

[edit] Q. How do I move a stack of units?

In order to move multiple units at once, you need to select them. There are a number of ways to do that

- ctrl-click selects a stack of units. You can then drag them to move them, or select 'Plotted Move' from the menu

- click-drag Clicking on an empty spot on the map allows you to drag out a selection box and will select all the units in the box

- shift-click adds another unit to the current selection

After any selection operation, a click-drag starting on any selected unit will move all the units. ctrl-a will gather them into a single stack. The plotted move button or menu will allow you to create a plotted move of the selected units

[edit] Q. How do I move a single unit out of the middle of a stack?

This is mostly a matter of selecting just the unit you want so you can then move it (with click-drag or plotted move)

The easiest way to select a unit out of the middle of a stack is the ctrl-click on the stack (selects the entire stack), and then click on the unit you want in the selected unit display on the right pane (which highlights it). Finally hitting Insert reduces the selection to just the highlighted unit, unselecting everything else. You can then move just this unit with a p[otted move or a click drag on it (for the latter, you'll probably need ctrl-f or the bring to front menu option to make it easier/possible to click on.
