Call for Software Developers

From CyberBoard

Jump to: navigation, search

If you are a developer and you would like to take part in the CyberBoard porting effort, please send me an EMail at dlarson@norsesoft.com. The programming language that CyberBoard is written in is C/C++. However, even if you're not a hard core C/C++ programmer, there are other ways to help out:

  • The Help system needs to be reworked and expanded.
  • We will be needing people to do installer work as we get toward the finish. This goes beyond Windows to include Linux and the Mac.
  • There are other smaller programming tasks the don't require heavy Windows/wxWidgets knowledge so you can learn as you go (but you should have some programming background). All work tasks are graded by difficulty to make it easier to select something you feel comfortable with (Trivial, Easy, Medium, Hard, and Nasty).

The project is managed using the Trac Project Management System. Trac provides a Wiki for project documents, tickets for tracking tasks, bugs, etc. and an excellent source code browser. Tickets can be assigned to Milestones enabling the system to provide a sense of progress on the Roadmap page. Source code is managed using Subversion.
